Harihareshwar Beach - Maharashtra
Gentle winds blowing, the soothing sound of waves as they come and tickle your feet, soft sand that etch your footprints, water that gushes in and washes away those same prints, sun that smiles on your forehead and sea shells that greet you on your path along the shore – truly visiting such a beach is one of the pleasurable joys that nature offers us. One such calm, unhampered beach that is inviting ardent beach and mountain lovers is the beach of Harihareshwar.
Harihareshwar is one of the finest places in Konkan, Maharashtra. The beaches at Harihareshwar are clean and calm. The water here is quite shallow and thus, water scooter and speed boat rides can be enjoyed on these beaches. The unspoilt, virgin beach has a handful of people strolling. In fact the beach is so secluded that people can pitch a tent as well on the shore and camp in the night. The white sand and turquoise green water here are just spectacular. One can spend hours on the beach, in the water, collecting shells, making clay castles, and enjoying the lovely atmosphere that surrounds you. The beach also had a section filled with pine trees, making it a picture perfect destination.
What is truly enticing about Harihareshwar is that the place offers one of the most splendid mélange – deep dark woods, unruffled and silent seashore, pristine beaches and lovely temples by the beach side.
Harihareshwar is popularly known as Kashi of Southern India. Harihareshwar is surrounded by four holy hills named as Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri and Pushpadri.
