Incentive Destinations Corporate Responsibility

			Corporate Social Responsibility In line with our stakeholders’ commitment to the communities in which we live and work, Incentive Destinations has been actively driving and participating in various projects with focus on education, health care and initiatives geared towards those vulnerable groups in our society who have little or no access to any assistance. As a responsible corporate entity, Incentive Destinations set up the Incentive Foundation in March 2005 with a seed contribution from its own profits. Although it is a registered charity under Sec 80G and an institution of public character, the Foundation does not solicit public donations, but relies mainly on the returns generated by its parent company, Incentive Destinations. Besides several charitable health initiatives and the funding of teacher recruitment in a local slum school, Incentive Foundation has, since October 2006, been working on a Health Care Project in an urban village named Bandhwari, near Delhi, in association with an NGO called Sukarya, who have been working on health and nutrition in this and surrounding villages for several years. Since the establishment of the Community Health Centre at Bandhwari, there has been marked improvement in the health profile of the villagers, as has been determined by a baseline survey conducted by the research team of the India Development Foundation, a non-profit organisation involved in developing policy that will help in poverty alleviation initiatives. Small Loans - Significant Impact Emboldened by the difference our humble contribution has made to village life, Incentive Foundation, in association with the India Development Foundation and Sukarya, is now developing an initiative to set up Self-Help Groups based on the Grameen Bank concept of micro-finance, so that the villagers of Bandhwari will have access to better health care and an income generation system, focussing on the poor, the women and vulnerable groups in the village. This initiative is now well underway and the Foundation welcomes visitors to the country to come see for themselves how effective sustainability is possible with the right initiatives. The challenge India faces in lifting its people on the social development scale is immense. Incentive Destinations is playing a small part in helping the country overcome the odds in this battle.
