Your discovery of the pearl in a sea of blue – The Andaman Islands – begins in the beautiful harbour of Port Blair. Discovered in 1788 by a British officer named Archibald Blair, Port Blair was a penal colony under the British Raj. Follow the history trail and embark on some great water and beach fun.

Port Blair has ample sightseeing opportunities, in addition to the Cellular Jail, like the Fisheries Museum, the Marine Museum and the Anthroplogical Museum that introduces you to the varied anthropological strains of the islands.

DAY 01

Arrive Port Blair - Havelock Island

 Board early morning flight from New Delhi to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. Transfer to Port Blair Boat Jetty on arrival to board ferry to Havelock Island, 2½ hours away. Arrive Havelock Island transfer to beach resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight on Havelock Island.

DAY 02

Havelock Island

Discover the coral reefs around Elephant Beach. The water is so clear that you can even see schools of fish by just standing on the beach. Enjoy a snorkelling experience like no other among the abundant coral reefs and the creatures that inhabit the waters. Lunch in pristine environs and explore the true beauty of the outlying islands of the Andaman chain.

DAY 03

Havelock Island

Go scuba diving at Govindnagar, in the north of Havelock. If you are an experienced diver, join a 2-day dive excursion. If you have never dived before, take the plunge. Participate in a scuba diving course and the end of which you embark on your first ever dive. And, what a place to do so!

DAY 04

Havelock Island

Today is the day to explore the mangrove ecosystem. Head out in a kayaking excursion along Havelock Creek, a 5 km long mangrove-line estuary. Enjoy a mangrove safari and a snorkeling experience lasting 3-4 hours.

DAY 05

Havelock Island

Spend time on Elephant Beach, enjoying the silver sand and warm tropical waters. Watch the sunset or go for a long walk. Pick up a kayak or do another spot of snorkelling. The day is a canvas that awaits your brush to fill it.

DAY 06

Havelock Island - Port Blair

After breakfast, day free for independent activities on your own. Post early lunch transfer to Havelock Jetty to board ferry to Port Blair. Arrive Port Blair and transfer to hotel.

Note: As ferry and flight timings do not match, it is not possible to connect to onward flight to any mainland city in India after arriving from Havelock Island and a night stay at Port Blair is unavoidable.

DAY 07

Port Blair

After breakfast full day sightseeing of Port Blair visiting:

Cellular Jail – This jail housed freedom fighters during the struggle for independence from the British Raj. A sound and light show in the evening brings alive the heroic struggle.

Chatham Saw Mill - Established in 1883, it is Asia’s largest and oldest saw mill and was built by the prisoners from the Cellular Jail

Anthropological Museum – The museum provides information on the island's tribes, considered as one of the oldest in the world.

Gandhi Park, Fisheries Museum, Samudrika (Naval Marine Museum) are some of the other attractions in and around Port Blair.

DAY 08

Depart Port Blair

Check out after breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Port Blair airport for flight to New Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi airport transfer you to hotel close by for wash and change. After farewell dinner in the hotel, transfer to airport to board return flight.
